A philological study on poisoning and side effects of Paeoniae Radix Alba(白芍藥)

Abstract

|
Paeoniae Radix Alba is in use in Korean medicine. The Korean medical doctors use Paeoniae Radix Alba for nourishing blood(補血), calming the liver(平肝), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning and side effects of Paeoniae Radix Alba. The results were summarized as follows: 1.Generaly, Paeoniae Radix Alba has hardly toxicity, but it can rarely cause hypersensitivity like drug eruption and having fever. 2. In order to prevent against poisoning and side effects of Paeoniae Radix Alba, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.
